The article describes sociology as a humanistic social science. It is originally a rational form of social consciousness and the basis for the development of democratic processes in society. However, sociology has always contained alternative directions of development that have led to its crisis or denial altogether. It does not yet give all people the ability to be actors of power, to take an active stand in society and to act their own deliberate actions.
